Common Questions

Straight answers — no fine print.

How soon can you deliver?
Most orders are delivered within 2–5 business days, depending on your location and our schedule. Need it faster? Call us — we'll do our best to accommodate rush deliveries.
Where do you dump the gravel?
We dump wherever you tell us on your property — driveway, side yard, backyard. Just make sure the area is accessible for our truck and let us know about any overhead wires or tight turns when you order. One important exception: we cannot dump on top of septic system components (tanks, leach fields, distribution boxes). If your home is on septic, you must know where your system is located and guide the truck's path — our mission is to never drive over any part of a septic system, and a loaded truck can damage components that aren't visible from the surface. Identifying and flagging your septic location is the homeowner's responsibility, and GravelRI assumes no liability for damage to unmarked septic systems.
Can your truck get down my driveway?
Our trucks need about 10 feet of width, 12 feet of overhead clearance (watch for low branches and wires), and a firm surface. If you're unsure, send us a photo or give us a call at 401-639-1623 — we'd rather check ahead than get stuck. If your home is on a septic system, the truck cannot drive over any septic components (tank, leach field, distribution box). It's on the homeowner to identify where the system is and guide the truck's route — we assume no liability for damage to septic systems that weren't identified before delivery.
How do I pay?
You can pay online when you place your order, or pay by phone. We accept all major credit cards. Payment is due before delivery. Material prices are subject to 7% Rhode Island sales tax, added at checkout — delivery is not taxed.
What's the minimum order?
Our minimum order is 10 cubic yards. If your project is smaller, give us a call — we may be able to combine deliveries or suggest alternatives.
Do you deliver outside Rhode Island?
We serve all 39 cities and towns in Rhode Island. We don't deliver to Massachusetts or Connecticut at this time.
